COMMON SHOULDER INJURIES

All the various types of injury and disease encountered around the shoulder are managed by Professor Des Bokor including:

  • Arthritis

  • Tendinitis, including calcific tendinitis

  • Rotator Cuff Tears (partial and complete)

  • Shoulder dislocations

  • Fractures

  • Frozen shoulder

Professor Des Bokor has experience in all facets of shoulder surgery required to manage the above diseases and injuries which includes:

  • Shoulder Joint Replacement, including anatomic, reverse and partial/hemi replacement

  • Computer / GPS Navigation Assisted Shoulder Replacement Surgery

  • Arthroscopic Rotator Cuff Repairs

  • Arthroscopic acromioplasty

  • Arthroscopic excision of the acromioclavicular joint / outer clavicle

  • Rotator cuff repair for complex problems using mini-open techniques and tendon transfers if necessary

  • Shoulder Instability Surgery (Dislocations) – this includes both arthroscopic and where there is more extensive damage from repeated dislocations and resultant bone damage open reconstructions with bone grafting (Latarjet Procedure)
